could u please tell me what kind of wax to apply to my bangles? I've tried the cloths that has jewlers rouge on the cloth, but they still look the same... Thank u, Lou P.S. my bangles were purchased from China Town in Honolulu. One I wore for 40 yrs & then I finally got it off, now it's impossible to get on again! But it's gotten very dull!

COMMENT: You might find a jeweler who can polish it for you. Try using furniture polish on it, let it dry and buff with a soft cloth.

I need to know how to remove a jade bracelet from my 3 1/2 yr old daughter's wrist. It is too small now. Are there specialists who can remove jade bracelets? I tried baby oil on the bracelet and her wrist and hands while she slept, but she kept waking up saying it hurt. HELP me please! it is really small on her now. thanks, Debbie

From Ying Yu Jade:

Debbie,

Childrens' bones are more flexible than adults, and you might have a better chance of getting it off while she awake. Tell her it will hurt, but only for a little while. Then tuck her thumb and joint into her palm as tight at possible and try to get it off using the oil again. Try to get her to relax so the joint will be more loose. If it won't come off, you may have to get it cut off by a jeweler. Jade is really hard and needs a special cutter. Please let me know how this turns out for you. Good luck!!

I have been fooled into buying fake jade on eBay as well. Even after I wrote to the seller asking if the jade was real or not. I paid about $60 for 4 fake jade bracelets and after filing a complaint, I still have not received any compensation or resolution.

I am very grateful for this web site. After doing a great deal of research on jade, I now owm 4 certified jade bracelets. I wear two of them every day and receive compliments on a regular bases, especially from jewlers and fellow jade lovers.Yes I paid much more that I did on eBay, but with jade, it is all about quality and beauty. I feel as though my bracelets are worth every penny I paid and more.
